Childhood Memories
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Eriskay Lilt have hit on a very successful formula; this their fifth CD, released in November 2005, is proof of that. Kathleen makes a welcome return on vocals, joining Don and the rest of the band to deliver their usual mixture of material that has proved so popular over the years.

“From Strip the Willow to Amarillo!” - that’s how Don describes Eriskay Lilt’s versatility, and who can argue with him. All of the usual ceilidh favourites are revisited, with Don’s Hebridean spirit and unique lilting style shining through. The backing from the boys of the band is, as ever, impeccable. Toe-tapping traditional music at its best.

But it doesn’t stop there. Throw into the mix a superb collection of Scottish, Country and Pop covers, all sung with the inimatable finesse that is Kathleen, and you have yet another outstanding album that sums up Eriskay Lilt’s music to a tee.

Nutshell Music, Oban
Eriskay Lilt have established an excellent working relationship with Nutshell Music, having recorded and mixed all but two of their CDs there. The studio is owned and run by Finlay Wells and his wife Helen. Sound engineer Finlay, a graduate of the “Recording Workshop”, Ohio, USA is no stranger to the other side of the microphone! His guitar-toting skills have been heard on  several recordings as well as at live venues throughout Scotland. What little spare time he has left is devoted to teaching guitar.
