Farewell To Eriskay
Introducing Anne MacDonald, sister of Eriskay Lilt’s Don MacDonald, this CD single features 4 outstanding tracks of traditional music. The title track was composed by Anne for her mother, and after several requests for it to be recorded, here we have the final superb result.

Not to be left out, one of Don’s compositions gets an airing too! The beautifully haunting Nettie of Burnside Cottage, Eriskay was also composed in honour of their mother.

The fine music is rounded off with a Gaelic version of Scotland’s favourite, “Flower of Scotland” and two tunes which were favourites of Anne and Don’s late father.

With the usual high quality backing from Scotland’s finest musicians, this is another great recording to add to your collection.

Eriskay Lilt Records was established by Don & Kathleen MacDonald in 2002 as an independent label  to promote the music of Eriskay Lilt. To date, the label has released three CDs and acquired the rights to two other recordings.

Nutshell Music, Oban
Eriskay Lilt have established an excellent working relationship with Nutshell Music, having recorded and mixed all but one of their CDs there. The studio is owned and run by Finlay Wells and his wife Helen. Sound engineer Finlay, a graduate of the “Recording Workshop”, Ohio, USA is no stranger to the other side of the microphone! His guitar-toting skills have been heard on  several recordings as well as at live venues throughout Scotland. What little spare time he has left is devoted to teaching guitar.
